Capstone Orthopedic, California, acquired Diablo Prosthetics and Orthotics, California. With new locations in Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, Antioch, and Berkeley, the acquisition extends Capstone’s Bay Area footprint into Contra Costa county. This is the company’s first acquisition in California. Capstone Orthopedic now has 20 locations and 90 employees.
Capstone Orthopedic, California, with its principal partners, acquired Thompson’s Custom Orthotics and Prosthetics, Washington. With three locations, including Clarkston, Washington, and Hayden, Idaho, Thompson’s is the largest acquisition for Capstone to date. Following its acquisition of Seattle-based Douglass Certified Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2019, this is the second time Capstone, which has 11 locations in California, has expanded outside the state. A 10-year-old San Ramon girl reached a milestone in her battle with osteosarcoma — getting her first prosthetic leg.
