Capstone Orthopedic Opens New California Facility

Capstone Orthopedic, recently opened its newest practice in Salinas, California. Salinas Valley Prosthetics and Orthotics opened its doors on July 1st, 2010.. Built from scratch, this clinic has the latest in patient care and fabrication equipment technology.

Randy Furushiro, CPO has joined Capstone as the managing partner for this new practice. Randy has over 20 years of clinical and practice management experience. “I knew I had the experience and the knowledge to own my own practice.” Randy says.” What I needed was a partner with the experience and contracts to help me with my business infrastructure and start up cost funding. Capstone’s resources and experience made my transition to clinic ownership very seamless and much less risky. Now it’s up to me to successfully operate my new company.”

Earlier this year, Capstone also welcomed Edward Sisson, CPO as the managing partner for Cutting Edge Orthopedics in Chico, California. Ed has an extensive background in patient care and practice management. Most recently, he was practice manger for five O/P clinics in Las Vegas for a large national corporation. In Ed’s words, “What I wanted the most was ownership of my own practice. Capstone had a great opportunity for me in Chico and I jumped at it. Now, I am really enjoying the new responsibilities and challenges of being the owner/operator of a growing O and P practice. From a financial perspective it also offers much more attractive personal rewards.”

Capstone Orthopedic, Inc. business focuses on partnering with experienced clinicians to form new O/P practices in a shared ownership structure. It provides the operational support infrastructure, contracting and startup financing while the Partner provides the clinical expertise and site management. Aside from Salinas and Chico it currently operates in Castro Valley, Fresno, Los Banos, Susanville, Tracy and Visalia in California.
